Customer Advisory – EBS / ERS / GES Implementation

Dear Valued Customer,

We are continuously monitoring the situation in the Middle East. To our regret the regional conflicts and security tensions are escalating. The safety of our crew members, vessels and goods as well as continuity of our regular services is of utmost importance for us. Due to this fact we have no other option, than implement additional surcharges as per below.

Please be informed about the details:

  1. Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS)

  1. Extra Risk Surcharge (ERS) for Red Sea crossing:

  1. Gulf Emergency Surcharge (GES) for crossing Hormuz Strait

    1. Congestion Surcharge (CON) will be implemented for particular ports within our services in case we see deteriorating conditions.

Above surcharges are valid for all types of containers both laden and empty, including special and reefer equipment, as well as for COC and SOC.

Above surcharges shall apply in addition to all existing tariff rates and cover all cargoes, including those loaded on board but have not arrived at the final destination by March 6th 2026.

The Carrier reserves the right, at its sole discretion and with immediate effect, to revise (including increase/decrease), substitute, suspend or withdraw the surcharges and/or their amounts (and the method of application) if the situation or conditions of carriage change or deteriorate. Any revision shall be effective immediately from the time it is announced by the Carrier (including by publication on the Carrier’s website or by written notice).

Please follow the news and updated information on our website. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales office.

Kind regards,

Caerus Shipping FZCO
